Wow. Just wow. We’ve worked with several service crews over the years in various home maintenance areas, and Howald has never, ever disappointed. They seem to be one of the last remaining honest professional groups out there. We had an annual maintenance for our AC unit today, and our almost 10-year unit looks brand (see pictures for that shine)!! There were no overly aggressive or pushy sales tactics or up charges. Recommendations that were made were related to specific questions I had asked. I felt like I could fully trust our technician, Anthony, who was incredibly patient with all my questions and very kind to my squirrelly toddler. I am so grateful for these trustworthy, non-aggressive, local professionals.

We had been in a new house for only a few weeks in January 2026, when we lost heat and water. We are on a well and use a water pump. The temperatures were frigid. Another local heating and plumbing company came out and sensed our desperation. They told us we needed a new furnace and a new water pump. The water pump had been replaced only 3 years ago. The price tag was going to be $42,000 for what they were recommending. We called Howald for a second opinion. They SAVED THE DAY! They pinpointed the problem and confirmed we did NOT need a new furnace or water pump. It was an issue with the AES Indiana meter box. The 240 volt power lines coming into the house were damaged. We paid an electrician $600 to come and fix the problem. It is refreshing to know companies with such integrity exist. We will be Howald customers for life!!

Friendly, professional, very knowledgeable. Arman quickly identified the cause of the problem and gave me detailed options for how to repair it. His work was quick, quiet and efficient. He cleaned up afterwards as well. Great experience. Definitely recommend.

Nelson is great! He arrived at the promised time. His communication was very clear and thorough. He is knowledgeable and worked very efficiently. Dan serviced my homes HVAC last year and was extremely courteous and professional. He appeared very knowledgeable and was able to explain things in a clear manner that a non-skilled person can understand. I specifically requested him again this year. I had to incur a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. Once again Dan provided the same great service as before.
